Classical Curriculum

Kindergarten – 5th Grade

  • Phonics and Language Arts:
    Traditional orthography and phonics, grammar, handwriting, spelling, copywork, and Greek and Latin roots
  • Math:
    Singapore Math, emphasizing mastery of concepts and mental computation
  • Literature and Poetry:
    Fables, myths, fairy tales, classic children’s literature, and poetry memorization
  • History and Geography:
    Chronological studies in world and American history with basic geography and civics
  • Science:
    Nature studies, biology, earth science, and early principles of physics and chemistry
  • Fine Arts:
    Introduction to classical music, foundational art instruction, and exposure to masterworks

    Performance, theory, and analysis of visual and musical works

6th Grade – 8th Grade

  • Latin:
    Formal study begins and continues through high school

  • Math and Science:
    Geometry, Algebra II, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (with collegiate options)
  • Languages:
    Latin continues, with opportunities for Greek and modern language electives
  • Fine Arts:
    Advanced art, drama, music theory, and aesthetics

9th Grade – 12th Grade

  • Rhetoric:
