Classical Curriculum
Our curriculum is built on the twin pillars of the Core Knowledge sequence and our classical scope and sequence. It offers a clear roadmap for cultivating knowledge, wisdom, and virtue from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Kindergarten – 5th Grade
In the earliest grades, students master reading, writing, and arithmetic while developing an ear for beautiful language and a heart for noble stories.
- Phonics and Language Arts:
Traditional orthography and phonics, grammar, handwriting, spelling, copywork, and Greek and Latin roots - Math:
Singapore Math, emphasizing mastery of concepts and mental computation - Literature and Poetry:
Fables, myths, fairy tales, classic children’s literature, and poetry memorization - History and Geography:
Chronological studies in world and American history with basic geography and civics - Science:
Nature studies, biology, earth science, and early principles of physics and chemistry - Fine Arts:
Introduction to classical music, foundational art instruction, and exposure to masterworks
